The Cedar Springs Story
Over thirty years ago a man had a piece of unruly property and a dream. Dan Landon had a vision for a place to fish and celebrate family while being surrounded by the pacific northwest. He set out everyday to create his dream out of an old unkempt peat bog that looked nothing more than a forgotten forest. His wife Leanne Landon encouraged his vision while helping when she could. Slowly, the ponds and islands were formed with beautiful arching bridges. The property was surrounded with serene trails with every Northwest tree you could think of and bountiful wildlife. They eventually added in the breathtaking Cedar gazebo where our couples share the special moment of their first dance together. After years of crafting this hidden paradise and hosting parties, they decided that it was time to transform their next project. So Dan and Leanne decided to put Cedar Springs on the market while their son continued to maintain a section of the adjoining property.
Cedar Springs went through a journey of several owners over a couple of years. Throughout this transitional period, the Jolliffe family had rented the space for a number of family occasions and fell in love with not only the landscaping but also the dream Dan and Leanne started. So in 2008 when the property came up for sale they jumped at the opportunity to own it. Once the sale was final they hit the ground running making improvements every year. Through the course of these years, they remained close to the Landon family whom have since become more like a big extended family. In 2015, the Jolliffe's bought their partner out of the business to continue the dream into today.
Cedar Springs is all family-owned and operated from landscaping to wedding party contracts. We know that the celebration of a wedding is the joining of two families, and we like to think that when you get married here you also join into the Cedar Springs Family. All of us would love to share this labor of love on your special day and look forward to meeting you.
